PubNight #681 (10/14/09) - Antarctica

Good evening Pub Night!

It has been brought to my attention this week that some of you wimps are under the impression that is has gotten cold this week. You are all wusses who do not know what cold is. Why, in my day, we had to walk uphill, both ways, in liquid nitrogen in order to get to Pub Night. And do you hear us complain? NO! Mostly because our jaws were frozen shut. But we prevailed. You wippersnappers don't know how good you have it.

To teach you people what real cold is, this week we are going to drink in Antarctica. Yes, Antarctica, land of penguins and the BLAST space telescope. Also the land of delicious beers and mixed drinks in pint glasses. It's been a while since we've graced the bar with our presence, and now seemed as good a time as any, before it got cold enough that no one wants to trek westward in order to drink.

Also, if you are a Meghan, or if you know a Meghan, or if you run into a Meghan begging in the subway, bring them along, as Wednesday is name night, and that name receives free drinks all night, and that name is Meghan.

Bar comes with a few PSAs. Pitchers of Guinness are $500, but then, you shouldn't be ordering Guinness in pitchers anyway. Also, do not order your friend's Bud Light with your Guinness. Just don't. Learn from your elders' mistakes.

See y'all there!
