This week, PubNight visits the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, to celebrate Money's upcoming birthday.
The birthday boy writes:
Do you spend a lot of time thinking about your own death?
I plan for mine to happen in 2076. In July of that year, the United States will celebrate its Tricentennial, no doubt with a lot of fireworks displays, used car sales, and rabid demonstrations of hyperpatriotism. I won't tell you how those three things combined shall lead to a frail 99-year-old man's demise, but the YouTube videos of the incident will get a lot of hits.
The birthday I'm celebrating this week of this year will be my 33rd, which means I'm now 1/3 of the way there. Time for a third-life crisis!
Come celebrate by drinking the types of cocktails people enjoyed 99 years ago, at the tail of the country's Mono-centennial celebration.
