welcome
I thought I'd share some of the unsuccessful PubNight email ideas that I've had while writing this weeks email - and why each failed to become a full email
1) concept: bad ipad game concepts
came up with 3 games ideas:
"Can't roll 6's" - oddly, not a dice game, in fact, it's just a coin flipping program... with one coin
"I've never been there" - consider all the places you've never been, and don't check-in to them - the person who stays at home wins.
"Don't Click This Spot" - a game where by not playing you earn various badges and discounts... thus, you win by not even downloading the game...
failed due to : it's simply not funny enough...
2) concept: holiday PubNight related movies
came up with 5 movie titles:
Holiday PubNight #742 - or "How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Drinking"
An insane couple starts a process to liquor cabinet holocaust that a war room of drinkers and socializers frantically try to, er... finish.
Holiday PubNight #742: Legacy
Similar to PubNight #690,#587,#483,#431,#380,#330,#278,#228 - except everyone is older and has kids - and I am the MCP
Holiday (PubNight #742) Inn
[replace orig tagline "At an inn which is only open on holidays, a crooner and a hoofer vie for the affections of a beautiful up-and-coming performer."]
Harry Potter and Holiday PubNight #742
[Insert Tagline Here - begin with "In a world..."]
There Will Be PubNight (#742)
A story about family, greed, religion, and beer, centered around the kitchen of a turn-of-the-century programmer in the early days of PubNight.
failed due to: I couldn't come up with good taglines for 3 & 4... and I wasn't happy with 2 - but 5 was ok, I guess...
3) concept: wikileaks
stared at computer for 2 hours... got nothing...
But I digress... Since it's December, and you're thirsty, and 12/15/2010 is a wednesday - we'll be having Holiday PubNight at our home, and you're all invited. Bring what you will (want to drink) shall be the whole of the law (although we'll have booze and mixers aplenty). As always, the deli on 13th street & University is a great place to buy things of a drinking and eating nature...
NOTE: if the front door is locked call 212-228-8137
be seeing you-
(brought to you by the letters, tk and j)
