Our trivia team name from last night: "Nineteen Inches Sounded Like More Fun Than This." That pretty much says it all.
Priority #1 in choosing this week's spot was, unsurprisingly, accessibility. Since Siberia no longer occupies the choice space that's actually inside the 49th St. 1 station, it looks like the best we can do is a block from the A/C/E. No excuses and no backtalk. If you can get from your home to your subway, you can join us for the all-important night of drinking that comes *between* Christmas and New Year's.
As for the place itself, Molloy's appears to be a fairly standard-issue Irish pub on Eighth Ave--decent reviews, extensive tap selection, full kitchen, doesn't usually look that busy. Works fer me.
