Esteemed Pub Nighters!
I have the distinct pleasure of bringing the weekly Pub Night email to you this week. This is the week that we all take a pause to celebrate my birth. Wee. Join me in the East Village to a place we've never been as Pub Night!
This past Monday, I officially turned another year, joy, joy. After 30, it really doesn't matter anymore. They're all the same until Social Security kicks in.
Another key item of note... this is the first Pub Night of the new decade! Again, wee. What do we call it? The tens? The teens? Twenty tens? Twenty teens? I don't f'n know.
The bar this week is Arrow on Ave A. If I'm not mistaken this is the same place that former Pub Nighters George and Kim got married a few years ago. The name has changed, but, it's the same spot. Also awesome about this bar-- It's 2 for 1 drinks until 9 p.m. And, from what I can tell, they have decent beers. A drawback is that they have a DJ that comes on at 11 p.m. But, honestly, I take that as a plus. It will help us be good girls and boys on a school night. And if you wanna keep chugging and do some singing, Sing Sing Karaoke is right next door!
I've warned Arrow in advance that they're about to be Pub Nighted. They welcome the thought.
