Pubnight!
As you well know, drinking is hard.
The beer gardens are outdoors, and NYC has decided to never stop having rain. The indoor beer halls are crowded. There was a place downtown I was eying, but this does not seem to be the month for that part of town.
I swear I was about five seconds away from having PubNight in my living room. I still have a chunk of a store credit to BierKraft, and six hours to clean the living room. And the cat hasn't hated my existence is over twenty minutes!
Forget that plan.
So where does that leave us? Sports bar!
Who didn't see that coming?
Pour George is a recent-ish addition to the Village. Sports bar with upscale food and an Irish vibe. They have a respectable selection of 10 craft beers, including a couple of seasonals. I'll even forgive them for spelling Guinness incorrectly on their website. For the non-beer inclined, they have a good stock of whiskeys. For the non-drinkers, tasty food.
And...the end of the baseball season is tomorrow, and two playoff spots are undecided, so it's unlikely I will be looking any of you in the face. I'm...not actually sorry in the slightest.
