Dang, I could get used to this weather. Which is exactly the kind of thing one can't do vis-a-vis weather, but there we are.
While it lasts, I'm going to take us a wee bit off the beaten path to visit a pretty nice Hell's Kitchen local. American Retro has very decent food, reasonable prices, good service, and lots of seating. If it were on Eighth instead of Eleventh, we'd be all over that--and I'm still going to wager that it's worth the walk. (By "wager," I of course mean "go here regardless of whether you agree, so suck it up.")
