Hi Pubnighters,
This week, I have the honor of starting off a string of December birthday Pub Nights (with an extra sparkly holiday pubnight thrown in the middle). My bar of choice is DBA Brooklyn, which like its sister bars has a wide range of draft and bottle beer, a few cask beer choices, as well as a well-stocked liquor shelf.
PN has visited the East Village DBA many times, but it's very crowded and the staff is sometimes grumpy and antagonistic. Many Pubnighters have experienced the New Orleans DBA, which is more reliably friendly and roomy. The New Orleans DBA looks and feels like a New York craft beer bar picked up and plopped down on Frenchman Street- with multiple chalkboards on the wall, lots of wood, etc (with the addition of a giant second room with live bands). In turn the Brooklyn DBA in turn feels like a bit of New Orleans in Williamsburg -- it's a mellow, laid back place where you can get a decent sazarac.
Happy birthday to me, and hope to see you there!
Cheers,
Rebecca
