When I volunteered to pick the bars for this month's Wednesdays, I worried only about a clever location for Halloween.
Then my dad asked, "will you be celebrating Octoberfest?" ... and suddenly I realized that --for all that the official event ended earlier this month-- I had a deep and seasonal desire for Spätzle and Wurst. So, on this familial instigation, and following extensive consultation with TK, we will return to the Manhattan location Loreley, last visited in 2009.
I hope you'll join me there to belatedly embrace the traditions of an official drinking holiday!
