To celebrate my birthday, please join me once again this year in Brooklyn for my birthday PubNight. We'll be gathering at The Shanty, attached to one of NYC's newest distilleries, New York Distilling Company. The distillery has been open a little over a year, but they already have a few lovely gins (with names like Dorothy Parker - American gin) and are working on a rye whiskey (pending appropriate aging). Regardless of the origin of the liquor, The Shanty is serving up some tasty cocktails in a beautiful industrial space (think welded lamps and sheet metal shelves) with a window view into the distillery. In addition to the cocktails, they have a selection of craft beer and wine.
