What time is it? Why, it's drinking-in-the-middle-of-the-week time!
Since a new-to-PN place worked out pretty well last week (though we were all devastated to learn that the mac-and-cheese sandwiches were no longer on the menu), let's go with a brand-spanking-new one tomorrow: The Winslow, which just opened in the East Village last week. Namesake Jeff Winslow was one of our favorite bartenders at the late lamented Conker Hill, which is hopefully a good sign about what we can expect here in terms of atmosphere and service. Beyond that, The Winslow ups the ante with extensive beer and liquor (especially gin) selections, a unique cocktail menu, and a food menu that puts a gastropub spin on Irish pub cuisine--I'm personally going to be dreaming of the chicken tikka masala curry pie.
See you there!
