Holiday PubNight (#899) (12/18/13) - Tir na nÓg

ATTENTION: Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Wiccans, Hindus, Sikhs, Zoroastrians, Scientologists, Animists, Oprahists, Agnostics, and Atheists! And maybe a lapsed Mormon.

Hearken to the sound of my voice! (It can be quite sonorous when I've had a few.)

For soon we shall all join to celebrate the one true faith that joins us together: Dipsomaniaism.

Who among us has not worshipped the Porcelain G-d? Who among us has not praised the miracles of distillation and fermentation? Who among us has not had a drunken hookup from a bar and accidentally dropped one's wallet at said hookup's apartment while taking off one's pants but the hookup was kind enough to mail the wallet to the only address he could find, which was one's parents' house?

AMEN.

This Wednesday, we will celebrate another Holiday Pub Night at Tir na nÓg in Midtown West. In Irish mythology, Tir na nÓg is an Otherworld visited by supernatural beings. Depending on how much we drink, we may transport ourselves directly to this bar's namesake instead of staying in a large, lovely space with wonderful service.

I've reserved a bunch of tables for us. Just note that we'll all be on one tab, just like Anniversary PN. So bring cash.
