My fellow drinkers,
This week, we're returning to Spuyten Duyvil, last visted by Pubnight in 2010.
Spring is slowly reclaiming New York from winter's icy grasp. It may be too chilly for the garden, but it's never too chilly for an extensive list of mostly European beers, and meat and cheese.
When I first went to this bar eight years ago, my uneducated beer palate was delighted by the wide variety of beers over ten percent. High alcohol content plus odd, preferably unpronounceable name equalled the beer I wanted to drink. Times have, at least slightly, changed. I still look towards high proof, oddly named beers -- but now, I've consumed enough of them to not be ordering blindly.
