Dear PubNighters (and friends of PubNighters),
I think attending more than one PubNight unofficially makes you a PubNighter. I say unofficially because there is absolutely nothing official about PubNight. Since PubNight is here in Jersey City this week (go JC!), I am going to forward this email to a bunch of people who have no idea what PubNight is. Some have attended one (you know who you are) and there are some who couldn't the last time, but might this time.
PubNight is all about getting together with somewhat similar minded people (we all enjoy a drink here and there)... chatting and mingling. Basically, it's a glorified excuse for grabbing a few drinks midweek. Something that makes PubNights in Jersey City unique nowadays is we will definitely have kids in attendance. Go us for preparing the next generation of PubNighters!
You'll note PubNight is starting earlier this week at 6 p.m. due to the attendance of our munchkin folk. I will most likely need to leave around 9ish (unless Ricky takes Max home and then it's party-on likes it's 1999).
I have secured us a large seating area in the lovely backyard of Port-O Lounge (reservation under Cynthia Bacon). The front of house manager, Ruben, knows to expect us. I will bring a few toys to entertain our young ones.
PLEASE NOTE: We are going to PORTO LOUNGE, the Portuguese tapas lounge on 1st Street and Newark Ave. We ARE NOT going to Porta, the pizza eatery one block from the Grove St. PATH train station. The place where WE ARE GOING... PORTO LOUNGE... is more like 3 blocks from the Grove St PATH train station.
I hope you can make it! The tapas are yummy, the sangria is ridiculous and the place is a more intimate venue so we can chat and not have to yell over each other.
Hope to see you there!
Cyn
