Wednesday Pub Night #98 - 8:30 at Swift

Back to the Pub Night home page

Good morning,

Yup, it's true - two years ago, Wednesday PubNights began at the newly opened Swift Hibernian Lounge. So, all of you who have been to one or more of the 97 PubNights since then (at least 250 of you) should come tonight to celebrate. Also, reserve Wednesday, April 8, for the PubNight 100 party (place to be determined).

So, what's new this week? As one of your weekly sources of local gossip, news, and historical tidbits, it's my duty to report the news as I see it. Although many of you have heard directly or through the grapevine, I thought I'd set the record straight and confirm any rumors that may be spreading.

Laura and I had an incredible vacation in England and Scotland last week - York, Edinburgh, Lake District, Cotswalds, London, and more - 1000 miles on the car. But by far the best day of the week (of the month...of the year...of our lives (so far)), started with a hike on the 1,876-year old Hadrian's wall and ended in a room of a 15th century Scottish castle (newly converted to a hotel). At sundown, during a rare break in the clouds, on a secluded beach by an old castle and an old lighthouse in Northeast England, I asked Laura to marry me and she said yes !!!

You want more details? You want pictures? You'll have to come tonight. Tonight's celebrations will be held at the scene of the first PubNight - Swift Hibernian Lounge. Be ready to drink a really big beer (you'll see).

We'll be there at 8:30.

See you tonight,

- stuart
