Wednesday Pub Night #83 - 7:00 at McBell's

Back to the Pub Night home page

In Stuart's absence, I have been tagged toselect a suitable establishment for thisweek's PubNight. Tonight being a popular barnight, I thought we would should choose adecidedly unhip local haunt.

Time: 7:00pm, since no one has class tonight or should be working late.

Sidewalk says: Customer friendly nook with good beer and burgers.

Urban Access NY says: Decent neighborhood bar for an incognito romantic tryst. A pleasant neighborhood bar entices the after-work crowd with free cheese, crunchy garlic bread and port wine. The tiny bar serves up Watney's Red Barrel on tap, a generous portion of scotch with soda, blue checked tablecloths, cozy lighting and, of course, the anonymity of a solid neighborhood crowd. Straightforward, clean, honest anti-hipness.

Travel: It's across the street from the A, B, C, D, E, F, and Q trains, as well as the M5 and M6 buses. It is also convenient toeither the 1, 2, 3, 9, L and Path trains.

Reasons to celebrate:

- Duane's B-day is Friday (11/28)

- In Stuart's words, "Thursday is some kind of holiday."

As always, see the PubNight web page for amap.
