Wednesday Pub Night #60 - 8:00pm at Panchitos

Good morning,

The theme this week is flashback. I have recently bumped into several friends from good old Eastchester High School. To honor this, we'll be heading to our old high school hangout - Panchitos. Yes, I know we weren't quite legal drinking age, but we just had the chips and salsa. We certainly didn't have any frozen mud slides or 151-proof daquiris. Assuming they still don't ask for ID, we could probably all get in tonight.

The big reasons for celebrating and drinking this week are:

Sunday - Fathers Day. Flashback to youth and the innocence of children protected by parents.

Monday - Clilly's Birthday. Flashback to being born and flashback to some crazy punk bands and haircuts (where are those pictures?)

Tuesday - Petro's Webb Anniversary. It's been 10 years since Petro left the Webb Institute of Naval Architecture to venture on the road to environmental engineering and the EPA.

Wednesday - PubNight #60. Flashback to 59 other nights (and 58 other bars)

Thursday - Stuart's end of semester from hell. Yes, that's right. I'm finally done. No more classes, no more books,... Also, no more projects, and no more big negative numbers. Flashback to your miserable times in school and be glad you're not there now.

Friday - Stuart goes on vacation to escape. Flashback to sitting in the wilderness by a lake with absolutely no worries or responsibilities. OK, maybe flashforward to this one. I'll be wandering the wilderness of Eastern Canada on a solitary sojourn with an expectation of epiphanies for a week or two. I will hopefully return refreshed and relaxed (and smelling like moose and salmon).

Saturday - First day of summer (I think). Flashback to the summers of years past, when we enjoyed places like Jones Beach, when summer camp was a safe place to be, when the Fall was a long way away, when sitting out in the sun was fun (instead of a hazard).

So come out tonight and celebrate. Panchito's is a Mexican restaurant that just happens to (or use to) have a bigger drink menu than food menu. We'll be there at 8:00pm.
