Back to the Pub Night home page
That's right - the first PubNight was one year ago. March 27, 1996. It's been a wild 52 weeks (with 48 PubNights). It snuck up on me too. Tomorrow, we'll be heading back to where it all started. A return to the Swift Hibernian Lounge. A wee bit of food, but an excellent pint o Guiness.
I'll try not to get too sentimental about 48 weeks of this stuff, but I think it's been absolutely terrific. An excellent break in the middle of the week. Maybe it's just the left over Italian mood, but I think it's been a fabulous year with great people and almost too much good beer.
So, for you 60 people reading this, and the 150 or so people who have been to PubNight over the year, come out to celebrate the first anniversary.
Laura and I are back from a sunshine, rocks, wine, acchiuge, and grappa filled vacation with no computers, no spreadsheets, and no stress. So, if you don't want to come by to celebrate, at least come by to say welcome back, hope you had fun, let me buy you a drink.
